Our Story

The Art of Noticing

My name is Ting Xuan Lim. Meew is the result of a lifelong fascination with the quiet details most people overlook. Growing up in Malaysia, I was endlessly captivated by the natural world, the way light bends across a water surface, the structural logic of a plant, and the raw, unpolished textures of the earth.

I realized early on that light is the anchor of any personal space. It is the invisible force that sets the mood, transforming a physical room into an emotional sanctuary. For me, beauty was never just something you see; it was something you notice.

From Code to Craft

Before Meew, my world was built on logic and stability as a software engineer. It was a comfortable path, until it suddenly disappeared. When I was laid off, I stood at a crossroads: return to the familiar, or finally take a chance on the quiet pull I’d felt my entire life, the urge to create meaningful, physical objects.

I chose to create.

The Digital Handshake

Discovering 3D printing felt like finding a missing language. It allowed me to translate my observations of nature and structure into tangible forms. What began as a quiet project to craft the perfect light for my own reading nook, a space to decompress and simply be evolved into a realization: design is a way to connect with people on a frequency that words can't reach.

Intentional Light for Those Who See Differently

At Meew, I believe a lamp should be more than a utility; it should be an invitation to pause. My designs are not made for the masses or the casual observer. They are made for the curious, those who appreciate the complexity of a layer line and the warmth of a well-placed shadow.

This is the beginning of my journey as a designer. Thank you for being part of the story.
